Loire and vineyards by helicopter

The Layon hillsides, the slate quarries of Trélazé and the wild braids of the Loire.

Forty minutes over the vineyards and the wild Loire. The flight crosses the Layon hillsides, where chenin gives the sweet wines of Bonnezeaux and Quarts-de-Chaume, then the slate quarries of Trelaze, the black trenches that roofed half of France. It then reaches the braids and islands of the Loire, the last great river in Europe to run without a dam, whose bed is redrawn by every flood. A landscape flight rather than a monument one.

Frequently asked questions

Can the aircraft be chartered privately?
Yes. All our scenic flights can be privatised — the whole aircraft to yourself, whatever the number of passengers. It is also the only way to guarantee an exact departure time, since a shared flight depends on the aircraft filling up.
What happens if the weather is bad?
A flight never departs in degraded conditions: the decision rests with the pilot, usually the day before. The flight is then postponed, or refunded, according to the operator's own terms — we reproduce them word for word on each page, before any request.
Can children fly?
Yes, from the age of 2 on most aircraft, and on an adult's lap below that age depending on the operator. Each passenger's weight is requested at booking so the aircraft can be correctly balanced.
