The six terraced gardens of Villandry, designed to be seen from above, and the confluence.
Thirty minutes for a garden that only makes sense from the air. The six terraces of Villandry, the chequerboard kitchen garden, the garden of love and the maze were redrawn in the early twentieth century on Renaissance plans, and their geometry can only really be read from above. The aircraft arrives after following the Cher, then reaches the confluence with the Loire before returning to Tours. Best between May and September, when the kitchen garden is planted.
Frequently asked questions
Can the aircraft be chartered privately?
Yes. All our scenic flights can be privatised — the whole aircraft to yourself, whatever the number of passengers. It is also the only way to guarantee an exact departure time, since a shared flight depends on the aircraft filling up.
What happens if the weather is bad?
A flight never departs in degraded conditions: the decision rests with the pilot, usually the day before. The flight is then postponed, or refunded, according to the operator's own terms — we reproduce them word for word on each page, before any request.
Can children fly?
Yes, from the age of 2 on most aircraft, and on an adult's lap below that age depending on the operator. Each passenger's weight is requested at booking so the aircraft can be correctly balanced.
