Discovering the Alps by helicopter

The Wildhorn, the Tsanfleuron glacier and the Derborence basin — the first flight, out of Sion.

Fifteen minutes out of Sion airport, enough to grasp the geography of the Valais. The aircraft climbs above the Rhone plain, turns onto the Wildhorn and runs along the Tsanfleuron glacier, one of the few you can get this close to in so short a flight. The return leg crosses the Derborence basin, a closed combe the road only reaches in summer. This is the operator's introductory flight: short enough for a first time, high enough not to be a circuit of the field. The aircraft is chartered whole, five seats on board. Frequently asked questions

Can the aircraft be chartered privately?
Yes. All our scenic flights can be privatised — the whole aircraft to yourself, whatever the number of passengers. It is also the only way to guarantee an exact departure time, since a shared flight depends on the aircraft filling up.
What happens if the weather is bad?
A flight never departs in degraded conditions: the decision rests with the pilot, usually the day before. The flight is then postponed, or refunded, according to the operator's own terms — we reproduce them word for word on each page, before any request.
Can children fly?
Yes, from the age of 2 on most aircraft, and on an adult's lap below that age depending on the operator. Each passenger's weight is requested at booking so the aircraft can be correctly balanced.
